About this Event
As adults, our relationships, work, and sense of identity can grow complex — leaving us feeling disconnected from ourselves and others. In Vivo is a six-week experiential therapy group designed to help you explore how you relate to people in real time, uncover old patterns, and build more meaningful, authentic connections.
Unlike educational or skills-based groups, In Vivo focuses on genuine, in-the-moment emotional exploration. Through open dialogue and honest reflection, participants learn about themselves by engaging directly with others — fostering deeper awareness, resilience, and emotional growth.
Benefits of Group Therapy
Group therapy offers a powerful opportunity to grow through connection. In a supportive and structured setting, participants learn not just from their own insights — but from the shared experiences of others.Key benefits include:
- Building self-awareness through real-time interactions
- Gaining insight into relationship patterns
- Practicing vulnerability and honest communication
- Developing empathy and emotional connection
- Strengthening resilience and confidence in relationships
Who is the group for?

- Life transitions and uncertainty
- Relationship challenges or interpersonal conflict
- Anxiety, stress, or disconnection
- A desire for personal growth and deeper self-understanding
No prior therapy experience is needed — only a willingness to explore and engage authentically in a safe, supportive environment.
How it Works
In Vivo runs as a closed six-week group, with up to ten participants meeting once weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30–8:00 PM at Carbon Psychology in Calgary’s Mission neighborhood. The group begins January 6th, 2026, and ends February 10th, 2026. Before joining, each participant completes a free consultation and one-on-one intake session to ensure readiness and fit.
