Dublin based artist Maria Ginnity will hold a solo exhibition showcasing a new collection of paintings at Reds Gallery Dublin in October.
In this powerful series, Ginnity turns the daily ritual of commuting into a quiet theatre of human behaviour. With sensitivity and wit, she captures the awkwardness of intimate proximity with strangers - glances avoided, phones in hand and bags clutched like protective armour. Her works draws on her observations of human behaviours in public constrained spaces.
Maria has had a varied and successful career in both the private and public sector. In 2020 she took the opportunity to return to her passion for the Visual Arts. She graduated from the Royal Hibernian Academy School with a Diploma (Distinction) in May 2025. She has exhibited in many group shows and held her first solo exhibition with Artnetdlr in 2023.
