You are kindly invited to participate in a small-scale performance experiment focused on plants and their presence in a shared space. For this event, each participant is asked to bring a plant from your everyday environment. This could be any plant that you care for, such as one kept at home, in a studio, or on a windowsill. The plant will become an essential part of the performance scenography.
During the experiment, conditions for the presence of plants within a theatrical space will be provisionally established and observed. Subtle environmental changes may be introduced, such as gentle airflow and lighting adjustments. These aim to highlight the physical presence and dynamic qualities of the plants.
This work draws on selected quotations from Michael Marder and Emanuele Coccia, whose writings on plant life inform the conceptual framework of the project. For a each participant, the experience might calm and reflective. The focus of the event is not on high-energy activity, but rather on observing plant life. If you are interested in engaging with plants in a unique way and sharing a space with them in a plant-based setting, your would be warmly appreciated.
Please bring a pot of plant.
