Director’s statement : Chinese culture has a long history, and its conventions of etiquette and cultural frameworks still exist in the subconscious of every individual in the Chinese-speaking world. The aim of this creative intention is to challenge these cultural frameworks, specifically when it comes to sexuality. In today's capitalist society, rapid technological advancements have reduced the labor class to the status of tools. This has led to a deepening sense of alienation and loneliness between individuals. People are under high pressure from a tool-centric system, where they are only driven by the satisfaction of their food and sexual desires. The rapid development of technology and the capitalist world has brought about immense stress on humanity, particularly on marginalized individuals. The severity of the situation is evident worldwide, and there are countless cases of misery. The global pandemic since the end of 2019 has further exacerbated the situation. It has deepened the sense of an impending apocalypse, interpersonal isolation, and depletion of global resources. This film aims to reflect contemporary society and people's living environments. It seeks to help individuals understand their own situations and encourages them to reflect on how to face others and the objective world.
