In the G(art)den: Painting with Natural Pigments

Join us for a colourful session at the beautiful community space at 64 Club Street! Learn how to utilise natural pigments from common ingredients like roselle, blue pea flowers, and turmeric and watch them transform with the power of chemistry.

Participants will get to:

• Learn about the pigment extraction process
• Learn how to make basic, natural paints with simple ingredients
• Understand how certain chemical reactions allow for different colours to be made from a single pigment
• Create their own paintings to bring home

This workshop is done in partnership with 64 Club Street for their event, A Plant-Based Weekend. Come by for a host of fun events and booths over the weekend!
