About this Event

An enchanting return: our Japanese and Moroccan cross-cultural dinner with live-performing entertainment is back. Surrender your senses to our second omakase-style chef collaboration for In Tandem.
Join former Ju-Ni chef Daniel Realin and Executive Chef Hicham Senhaji for a spin on North African cuisine and Japanese culinary arts. Sharing their wealth of gastronomic knowledge, sushi and omakase masterpieces with elegant Mediterranean flavors will be coursed all evening for a curated 6-course feast.
Our roster of two culinary maestros will satisfy epicureans and gourmet lovers — with sake and wine pairing options — to savor a masterful and fine-dining menu.
Live taiko drum performances and musical accompaniment inspired by the rich cultural history of Japan will be performed by members of Maikaze Daiko, SF's most notable taiko performance group.
About the chef: Daniel is obsessed with cooking, hospitality, and good times. A native of California, he has worked at some of the best sushi restaurants in the Bay Area. With nearly 20 years of restaurant experience (Robin, Ju-Ni, and more), his contemporary cooking style combines fresh flavors and high-end ingredients expressing a true foodie adventure. Daniel aims to create memories through delicious food that will last a lifetime.
About Maikaze Daiko (Dancing Wind Taiko): Founded in 2007, Maikaze Daiko is a San Francisco-based Taiko (Japanese Drumming) organization, under the artistic direction of Bruce "Mui" Ghent, that is dedicated to serving the SF community in the education, performance, and development of taiko through innovative and demanding approaches to training, high caliber visiting instructors & artists, and work that expresses a fresh perspective to mainstream thought in the taiko world today.
After the event, a 20% gratuity, tax, and a 6% SF Mandate charge will be added to your dining bill. This is to ensure our staff earns a livable wage.
