From Caldecott Honoree and #1 New York Times bestselling creator Christian Robinson comes a loving, funny, and profound tribute to all kinds of dads, animal and human.

Dad is strong.
Dad is sweet.
Dad is here now.
Dad had to go away.

There are as many ways to be a dad as there are dads in the world. Dad is a bighearted tribute to all of them, reflecting the range of relationships dads have with their little ones. Christian Robinson’s exuberant illustrations guide the reader from animal to human fathers and babies, creating space for readers to recognize their own experiences.

Dad is destined to be a classic, an evergreen gift for new fathers, and one of those rare picture books that can resonate with every reader at any age.

Christian Robinson is an illustrator, author, animator, and designer based in Oakland, California.
