🌍 Join Us for a Documentary Screening: "In a State of Change" 🎥We invite you to a screening of "In a State of Change", a documentary by American wildlife photographer, filmmaker Donal Boyd and cinematographer Frank Nieuwenhuis. The screening will be followed by a presentation about Icelandic glaciers by Guðfinna Aðalgeirsdóttir.
About the Film:
A documentary about the changing Icelandic landscape through the eyes of a photographer.
As climate change shrinks the Icelandic glaciers, a photographer struggles with the impact of his advocacy work. How do we communicate the most critical issue of our time? Follow Donal Boyd on his journey to discover the role of beauty in nature and the implications of the changing landscape around him. Along the way we meet a writer, a glacier guide, scientists, and a lifetime resident living by a glacier, all connected in some way to the disappearing glaciers.
Presentation:
Guðfinna Aðalgeirsdóttir, professor of Geophysics at the University of Iceland, specializing in Icelandic glaciers. She will share her insights into the current state of glaciers and the urgent need for action in the face of climate change.
📢 Open Discussion:
After the screening and presentation, we will host an open discussion, providing an opportunity for you to engage with the speakers and explore the challenges of climate change, nature conservation, and the human impact on our planet.
