In Person Prenatal Individual Workshop: Cesarean Birth with Ella

Participant Information

• We recommend taking prenatal workshops at 28-32 weeks
• The workshop cost includes access for both the pregnant person and the support person
• The workshop also includes a tour of the St Paul’s Hospital maternity unit and birthing rooms
• Please come to the third floor of the Providence building and head towards the maternity unit. Your workshop will be held in the conference room located outside of the purple doors of the locked maternity unit, room 3500.
• Wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in and bring a water bottle

WORKSHOP # 4: CESAREAN BIRTH

This workshop is meant for families having a scheduled cesarean birth.

This Workshop will include:

• Reasons for a scheduled cesarean

• Signs of early labour and when to seek help

• What to expect through the entire cesarean process: From pre op to birth

• Postpartum care for cesarean birth

• Identify ways to enhance the postpartum experience

• Information to help have a positive start to breastfeeding
