About this Event
Neurodivergent Support Group for Women
This is a peer led support group that offers a safe , affirming space for women who identify as neurodivergent to feel seen, heard, and supported. We welcome those who are diagnosed or self-diagnosed, or anyone seeking an affirming environment to explore their neurodiversity, with a particular focus on ADHD and Autism.
Here is what you can expect when you attend our group:
- Thoughtful discussion about the impact of being neurodiverse
- Sharing and processing experiences with trauma-informed facilitation
- Gaining deeper self-awareness and understanding
- Learning tools and strategies to navigate life as a neurodivergent person
- Opportunities to connect with community care
This group is hosted by the nonprofit organization &Rise which is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower women and girls to be the ultimate versions of themselves no matter what adversities they've faced. We provide free mental health services as well as wrap around support to help survivors to heal and thrive after trauma and abuse. &Rise offers free weekly support groups that are 100% private, 100% confidential, and 100% supportive! Please note, this is not a therapy group but a peer-led community with trained professionals of women survivors supporting and talking with one another about their experiences and healing. We have an amazing group of ladies that are kind and know what you are going through. You do not have to suffer alone or suffer in silence, we are here for you! YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Nervous about going to your first support group? We hear that from a lot of new attendees. Most ladies feel much more at ease once they make it through their first session. Watch a quick video on what you can expect from our founder and get a preview of what our groups are like here.
