About this Event
Who this In Person Event is for:
Ages 2-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Siblings of participants outside this age range are welcome, but may find the event to be less meaningful and fulfilling.
What you’ll be doing:
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said "Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve." Join us as we share this message with the kids of Indianapolis and celebrate MLK Day in partnership with the Madam Walker Legacy Center!
Seeds of Caring will provide 5 youth service stations as a part of Madam Walker Legacy Center’s 43rd Annual MLK Day of Celebration. Activities include making “Use Your Voice” posters, assembling cleaning kits for recently housed neighbors, decorating and packing breakfast meal kits for kids experiencing food insecurity, suncatchers for seniors to brighten their day, and creating dream catchers inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. In addition to the service activities, you will find activities provided by our community partners.
Please Note: This event allows hundreds of kids to engage in meaningful service and it is one of our largest events. It may be crowded and noisy. Please consider this when deciding if it is a good fit for your family.
