About this Event
Join Rachel Kidd, Curator of Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, as she explores recent research about the workhouse nurses who lived and worked at Mitford and Launditch Union Workhouse (now Gressenhall Museum) in the 1800s to 1940s. Hear some of their stories and find out how these pioneering women forged careers and cared for some of the most vulnerable people in Norfolk before the NHS.
This free talk will take place in person in the Heritage Meeting Room, Norfolk Heritage Centre (on the second floor of the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library) and will also be livestreamed.
Booking is essential. To attend in person, book here at norfolkheritagecentre.eventbrite.co.uk or email [email protected].
