Calgary Arts Development is seeking artists to design and create two permanent public artworks in the East Calgary/International Avenue (ECIA): one with a project budget of $30,000 and one with a project budget of $90,000. The completed artworks will be installed in the community and become part of The City of Calgary Public Art Collection.
We are thrilled to host this event at the Alex Community Food Centre, an organization committed to tackling food insecurity through hands-on training and education while providing healthy, culturally appropriate foods to the folks of Forest Lawn and beyond. The Alex Community Food Centre is just one of dozens of locations throughout the ECIA that nurture the remarkable culture and resiliency of this region, which will be highlighted in this public art project.
