About this Event
The concept of being exposed can be so much more than simply a legs spread wide display. Yes, this is a version of exposure, and with that a place of vulnerability for the bottom. In this class we will look at various other types of exposing ties and ways to play with vulnerability including sensory deprivation. This class will include face rope. Please assess whether this is in your risk profile before engaging in this part of the class. This is a class and we will maintain an educational demeanor. While I would like students to explore these concepts I ask that they keep this to a respectful class level.
The preference for this class is that students have access to hard points in order to play around with the concepts themselves. All ties will be kept grounded as partials. However, it can also be catered to be a more demonstration based class if multiple hard points are not available.
It is recommended that you bring 3-8 lengths of 25-30ft/7-9m long 4-6mm diameter rope as well as a safety cutting device and a consenting bottom. If suspension points are available for class, students will also need suspension requirements (ring, straps, carabiners…etc).
Presenter Bio:
MxKittyKai (they/them) is a northern Virginia based educator, performer, and alternative model. They have worked for, taught, performed, and presented for several different organizations across the country including Dark Odyssey, Black Rose, CUFF, the National LGBTQ Task Force, Black Thorn, and Camp Contact. As a queer, non-binary, genderfluid, trans*, switch, HelloKatie focuses on ensuring multiple perspectives are represented in their work and material. Being a heavy sadomasochistic player with a taste for edge play, laughter, and the taboo, they like bringing frowned upon discussions to light and proving that stereotypes aren’t all that typical. $5 for Black Rose Members and Members of Reciprocal Groups with Membership Card, $10 for Non-members. Crucible membership is not needed, as this is a Black Rose event.
