Dr. Two Hawk is the first Native American to graduate from the USD School of Medicine. Inspired by generations of holistic healers before her, she defied the belief that she shouldn’t aspire to become a doctor. At just 23 years old, she became the first Native American to earn a degree from the USD Sanford School of Medicine. Now, all three of her daughters are following in her footsteps and pursuing careers in medicine.
Joining Dr. Two Hawk on stage for a panel discussion will be her eldest daughter, Dr. Arna Mora, and her youngest daughter, Mashke Goicoechea, who is currently a pre-med student. They will discuss topics such as women’s empowerment, the importance of women continuing to push boundaries, and the need to shatter glass ceilings for future generations, among other topics.
