Safeguarding statement
We are honoured to share the evening with guest speaker Rowena Chiu, and we look forward to welcoming you to the event.
This event will cover some difficult topics around sexual violence. We aim to hold our conversation with sensitivity and care. We will be doing our best not to discuss graphic or distressing details. In order to keep the event as safe and comfortable for everyone, during the Q+A or at the reception, we ask that audience members refrain from sharing personal stories or ask questions of a personal nature, as the panel do not have the expertise to provide appropriate support in these circumstances.
We know that the conversation may still be challenging and overwhelming for audience members. If you feel distressed by the content during the event, please feel that you can step out of the room at any time during the event, to get some fresh air, get a glass of water, or take a break. You can rejoin at any time, or choose not to return. Resources for support will be signposted at the event. Additionally, Rape Crisis England and Wales provide confidential support through their 24/7 free phone and online chat service on 0808 500 2222 and https://247sexualabusesupport.org.uk/
