Speaker’s Bio:

Greg Jackson is the founder and CEO of Octopus Energy Group, which he has grown in under a decade from a tech startup into the UK’s largest energy supplier. Today, Octopus operates in 32 countries, serves 10 million customers, and manages over $12 billion in clean energy assets.

The company leads in heat pumps, EVs, and charging: it is the UK’s largest heat pump installer and largest manufacturer, runs the country’s biggest EV-only leasing business, and operates Electroverse, Europe’s largest EV charging network with access to over 1 million points worldwide. At the core of Octopus’s global expansion is Kraken, its AI-driven cloud platform now managing 70 million customer accounts and licensed by EDF, E.ON, Origin, and Tokyo Gas. Under Jackson, the company has raised $2.3 billion, last reaching a $9 billion valuation.

Greg has been named a Time 100 Climate Leader, awarded a CBE for services to the energy industry, serves as a Non-Executive Board Member of the UK Cabinet Office and holds both an Honorary Fellow of Pembroke College Cambridge and Honorary Doctorate from the University of Teesside.

Greg is a serial tech entrepreneur and has built and sold a number of successful businesses before starting Octopus. He is an angel investor in a wide range of ventures, such as Xlinks and Zopa, and is a key thought leader in the UK on issues related to energy transition, energy costs and innovation.
