A Recipe for M**der: The Mushroom Murders

What do M**der and beef Wellington have in common? Neither is easy to pull off

Get the pastry wrong, overcook the beef, or lace the whole thing with death cap mushrooms, and suddenly your Sunday lunch makes international headlines.

Duncan McNab and Michael Duffy will take you inside the infamous Leongatha Mushroom Murders case and will dish the dirt on the investigation, the courtroom drama, and the appeal that won't go away.

Duncan and Michael are two of the finest true crime minds and will use their decades of knowledge to shed light on the facts of the case, which are so peculiar, including the bizarre behaviour of the accused, Erin Patterson - the claims of having cancer, the google search about death cap mushrooms, visits to a fungi identification website, and a food dehydrator dumped at the local tip.

Meet the Speakers

Duncan McNab is a former police detective, private investigator, and award-winning journalist. His forensic eye and engaging style have made him a leading voice in Australian true crime. He is the author of twelve books, including the phenomenally bestselling Roger Rogerson and the Ned Kelly Award-winning Getting Away with M**der. His latest book, Recipe for M**der, is a deep dive into the Erin Patterson case.

Michael Duffy is a former crime reporter and one of the founders of the BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival. Now based in the Blue Mountains, he writes crime novels where "country affects character," reflecting the unique landscape and its people. His books include Death in the Gardens, The Problem With M**der, and The Strange Death of Paul Ruel.
