In Bloom is a concert series developed in collaboration with the Hague-based composer Lise Morrison. In Bloom presents a selection of sound and music based performances, unearthed from the city’s fringes, blossoming in and around The Hague.Each edition features an eclectic combination of three different acts, created by independent artists working in the cultural scene of The Hague. The projects originate out of the artist’s own initiative, in the context of local D.I.Y. concerts and Dutch music and art academies.
In Bloom: Control & Chaos looks into three artists’ way of taking minimal means and extending it into high-octane performances with undetermined results: through a powerful choreography with sound and light, or by developing a soft, pulsating motif on the contrabass into a tour de force, or a DIY instrument with great sonic capabilities.
