About the Culinary Tasting:

The tasting menu will showcase chef Shayla Felton-Dorsey’s matriarchal inspiration from the strong and empowering women in her family. The connection to family, love, and empowerment not only reflects Chef Shayla’s personal journey but also invites diners to connect with her heritage and stories behind the dishes. This narrative can create a unique and memorable culinary experience, not just a tasting but a celebration of family, love, and black heritage.

The tasting will include tastings of inspired dishes of the Afro- Caribbean diaspora dishes such as Black Eyed Pea fritters , Rice & Callaloo, Fried Plantains, Carolina Gold Bbq Chicken sandwiches, Southern classic desserts such as Banana Pudding, and Pineapple Upside Down cake.
