About this Event
Fashion Across Mediums
Presented by Columbus Fashion Alliance
Supported by Greater Columbus Arts Council and Ohio Arts Council
Fashion Across Mediums is a new exhibition at Gallery One Sis One inside The Loom exploring the ways fashion exists between contemporary art, fine craft, photography, and design.
Through couture garments, photography, video, and studio process work, this exhibition reveals fashion artistry through multiple perspectives from the maker’s hand to the photographer’s lens to the experience of the viewer.
Featuring three Columbus-based designers and multidisciplinary artists, Fashion Across Mediums examines how fashion can live “in-between” disciplines. The works incorporate artisanal practices including hand-felting, embroidery, beading, natural dyeing, and printing alongside technical processes such as tailoring and couture construction.
The exhibition’s photography further expands these narratives, capturing fleeting artistic moments that feel both deeply present and timeless.
