Does your dog have trouble staying put, ignoring distractions, or coming when called—especially around wildlife, food, or new friends? Struggling with impulse control can make daily life and dog sports more challenging, but the good news is these skills can be taught and strengthened! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn:
• Practical exercises for “leave it,” “wait/stay,” and focus
• How to build a rock-solid recall—even past tempting distractions
• Strategies for teaching your dog to control their impulses in real life
This workshop is perfect for dogs who have a hard time listening when excited, stealing food or toys, or racing off to greet people or animals.
Class structure:
• Dogs will be crated (bring your own crate) or can relax in your car when not working; if your dog can settle quietly on a mat, that may be allowed
• Please, no reactive dogs (barking/lunging at other dogs or people)—ask us about our Reactive Dog programs if your pup needs extra support
