This course is designed for dancers with a solid knowledge of their basic Cuban Salsa/Salsa Cubana steps. Join us as we step the lessons up a notch!
We'll focus on partner dancing for the social floor, and will include:
1. Lead, follow and connection
2. How to build patterns
3. More complex movements
4. Body movement
5. A touch of Rueda de Casino.
What to expect
Each lesson is one hour in length. The course includes 8 lessons, one per week.
All classes are rotational so you do not need to bring a partner. All content taught is intended for the
social floor.
Time: 6.30pm, Tuesday evenings
Dates: 20th August to 8th October 2024
Venue: St James Church, 82 Nixon St, Hamilton East.
What to bring
A water bottle and a warm layer for after class.
Please keep in mind our venue does not have food, so if you are coming straight from work/study/whatever, maybe tuck a snack in your bag.
What to wear
Please avoid black soled street shoes as these will mark the church floor.
Ladies make sure you have good balance in your shoes, heels or flats are fine.
Cost:
Casual pricing $10 per class, or $60 for the full course.

There is no onsite parking. Parking is available in the street around the church.
