Are you ready to meet Harold? Join us for this introductory session on The Harold, the legendary longform improv structure developed at Chicago's ImprovOlympic and popularized by the Upright Citizens Brigade.

This workshop is will cover the groundwork and offer practical exercises to help you master The Harold:
🔹 Understand the Structure: Get a comprehensive introduction to the three-part structure of The Harold, from openings to group games to beats.
🔹 Explore Group Games: Discover a variety of group games that build strong ensemble play and learn how to identify 'the game of the scene.'
🔹 Create Connections: Develop the skills to find and create meaningful connections between beats, ensuring your scenes flow seamlessly and connect in unexpected ways.
Get ready for a great night of laughter, friends, and improv! This workshop is perfect for those with some improv experience who are looking for an introduction to longform.

About D’Arcy Briggs:
D'ARCY BRIGGS (he/him) has been an educator at all levels, from kindergarten to adult education. Honesty, play, and co-developing a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere is at the heart of everything he does.D'Arcy has been a performer, producer, and director for various improvised theatre groups. He is a co-founder of The Bakery (2023-), regularly performs with Paper Street Theater (Masterclass; MYTHOS, 2024), and has been a member of the Impromaniacs Theatre Company Society (various, 2007-2011). He is also a co-facilitator with ConnectPLAY, a low-stakes and high-acceptance space for adults of all backgrounds to join, connect, and play.
