About this Event
(Dieser Kurs wird auf Englisch durchgeführt, jedoch wird bei Bedarf Unterstützung in Deutsch angeboten.)
Join me for a fun and creative Improv Quilting Workshop where we’ll explore the joy of quilting without rules! Whether you’re new to sewing or already love working with fabric, this session is all about experimentation, play, and personal expression.
✨ What to Expect ✨
Fabric Play
Explore fabric with curiosity and joy. We’ll mix and match colors, patterns, and textures, discovering unexpected combinations and learning how fabric can guide your design.
Creative Cutting & Piecing
No patterns, no pressure. You’ll learn free-form cutting techniques—wiggly lines, gentle curves, and bold shapes—that come together quickly and intuitively. I’ll share simple tricks for creating fast, striking compositions while encouraging you to follow your instincts.
Guided, Intuitive Making
This class is about trusting your creative voice. I’ll guide you through the process with clear demos, helpful tips, and one-on-one support, so you feel confident exploring and making choices—without needing to know exactly where you’re headed.
Hand Sewing & Machine Options
Work at your own pace. Enjoy the calming rhythm of hand stitching or use a sewing machine for a quicker flow. Both options are available.
Upcycling & Sustainability
Improv quilting is a wonderful way to reuse fabric scraps and offcuts. We’ll embrace working with what’s available and turning leftovers into something beautiful.
Quilting Basics (Made Simple)
We’ll cover the basics of quilting—how to layer your quilt top, batting, and backing, and a few approachable ways to quilt it together. If you’d like to start binding, we’ll get you started in class, and you’ll receive a clear PDF guide so you can comfortably finish it at home.
A Cozy, Creative Evening
We’ll work in a small, cozy group with plenty of time to relax and connect. Tea, coffee, cake, and sweet snacks will be provided, and since this is an evening class, feel free to bring a little something to eat if you’d like.
