Improv for the Stage: Camp at ColdTowne Theater

Excused Absence is thrilled to hold our first summer of Comedy Camps at ColdTowne's new theater located at 1700 East 2nd Street - we can't wait for everyone to see it.

While Improv has countless benefits beyond entertainment, this week we are all about the show. Join us for a focused dive into creating live, improvised performances with the audience in mind. Though previous Improv experience is not required, this is a camp for young performers ready to do the work. 10 am to 3 pm: $325. Early drop-off/late pick up available by arrangement. Daily schedule includes Improv and Performance training, opportunities for performing, socializing, and the occasional dance party or side project. Class groups are organized by focus, while transition times, breaks, and social activities are generally combined.

Campers will share their work with family and friends on the final day at 3 pm.

Students should bring a bagged lunch and a water bottle. At this time, masks are not required. We respectfully ask that students experiencing symptoms of illness stay home. $325.
