About this Event
Enter into a welcoming, playful space designed for those identifying as singles. Led by seasoned improviser Radhika, you will play a number of fun improvisation games, use your imagination, indulge in some fantastical scenarios and leave with new connections with yourself and others!
Expect to be energized (not exhausted) through most of the class and connecting with fellow attendees. We start off with gentle check-ins, warm-ups, connection exercises, and then play fun, collaborative improv games, and indulge in role play, making narratives up as we go! This session is designed for those who have zero to a lot of experience, for introverts and extroverts. And no worries if you've never done improv before! Wear something comfortable if you can and prepare to meet and get to know strangers in a totally unique way!
Improv will help you listen and focus on the other, while adding to what the other is saying. Perfect for singles in the dating world or singles just wanting to mingle with other singles and meet new people.
Radhika's Bio
Radhika Rao is a bilingual actor, improv artist, and theater arts/improv/communications coach based in San Francisco, California. Her passion is creating third spaces of dialogue and building community through the magic of theater and improvisation.She is a cast member in the Improv Duo “Gamesome Frolic” and Bollywood Inspired Troupe- "Kuch Kuch Bollywood" She was also featured in the web series "Hiraeth" and "Strings Attached” available on Prime Video. She performs her solo show “Not Therapy” regularly- a show that brings audience and performers together in healing outside therapy rooms, through stories, games and laughter.
