There are many reasons why people sign up for an improv class, everything from “I need to get out of the house" to “I need more fun in my life" to “I can make people laugh and want a career in comedy!”
But what if improv skills could also enhance your professional and personal development? What if they could foreground your leadership and communications abilities, so you could take those next steps in your career amidst a competitive occupational landscape?
The short answer? *Improv skills can do all that, and more*: learning the basic principles of improv comedy provides also you with a crash course in the "soft skills" organizations train toward as they seek out the next generation of leaders.
and are excited to bring you a four-week class that addresses a variety of challenges business professionals face every day using the lens of improv to help solve them, including:
- Public speaking: Learning how to feel more comfortable and confident speaking to colleagues and teams
- Going “off script”: Skillfully handling unexpected conversations and effortlessly delivering presentations
- Teambuilding: Creating healthy, supportive team relationships as both leader and team member
- Positivity: Bringing a “Yes, and…” attitude to the organization
- Listening: Understanding how listening to colleagues and clients – being “present” for them – is a necessary skill
- Creativity: Tapping into your unique creative impulse to reduce fear, unlock barriers and generate new ideas
