This show is Spontaneous, hilarious and engaging. Veteran actors perform funny scenes taking inspirations from the audience live. They create scenes, stories, characters, environment and objects out of thin air, on the spot. They play games to making their struggles even more hilarious to watch. Resulting in some honest and relatable moments on stage. It’s theatre with hint of magic and sports. Language used is common man`s use of Hindi and English. Sometimes with accents of other regional languages.
About the company : Improv Comedy Mumbai has been performing shows all around the world for more than a decade. Started in 2011, the company have performed around 786 live shows. Represented at international Improv theatre festivals in Amsterdam, Berlin, Seattle, Toronto, Dubai and Manila. Current team member consist of veteran performers Ankit Challa, Avinash Verma and Yogesh Upadhyay as their primary cast. Many veteran performers, actors and comedians perform with us occasionally. Performed stage shows with improv legends like Ryan Stilles, Collin Mochrie, Wayne Brady. Comedians like Biswa Kalyan Rath, Rahul Subermaniam, Tanmay Bhatt, Kannan Gill, Abish Matthews and Kenny Sebastian. His recent appearance on ‘Tarak Mehta ka Ulta Chasma’ as ‘Chunnilal Talatode’ was appreciated by audience all around the world making it the most viewed show in the country. He has done close to 100 ads with stars and is a very familiar face to every Indian household. Known for his comedy and his unexpected choices in the scene. He can make any scene entertaining to watch.
Yogesh Upadhyay is a serial entrepreneur, start up consultant, Researcher and writer. He is also a passionate artist and brings the world on stage. From political, sports, business or general life conversations - his observations reflected on stage will make you gasp in awe and wonder. His scene are intelligent, funny and relatable. Known as the king of status play. Watching him perform will make you feel wise and intelligent.
Avinash Verma is veteran actor and stage performer. His timing, use of space, movements, object work and emotions gives the show an artistic flare. Known for surprising the audience with quirky characters that stay with you long after the show. His friendliness and warmth makes you feel like family. Watching him on stage makes you comfortable and leaves you happy.
