About this Event
Patterns help us collaborate. Spontaneous group acceptance/collaboration impresses an audience more than individual cleverness. Pattern work rewards an audience for paying attention and enforces the idea that the show was made especially for them.
In our third level, we explore creating patterns and discovering games to propel your scenes forward. You'll get out of your head and into the show by focusing on your team and what they need.
Prerequisites: Improv 101 and 201. Email [email protected] with questions.
Dates: This class runs Sundays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, starting March 23rd and running for 8 weeks. A showcase will be scheduled as an additional opportunity on an evening during the week of May 18th.
Instructor: Z Seliquini
Z Seliquini (they/he) is a company member at the Coalition Theater with over 7 years of theatrical experience. Throughout that time, they’ve studied dialect training, modern dance, and are currently continuing on their lifelong study of being a public nuisance. You can catch Z in Wolf Night, a house team at the Coalition, or as Zukini Lèsagna, an up-and-coming drag performer in the Richmond scene. He’s worked with Quill Theater, the National Theater, and now…with you? Come take this crazy class and see what kind of characters live within you!
COST: $250 (Early Bird $220)
The Coalition Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Once classes begin, all sales are final. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending or completing your registered class. While we do our best to accommodate such situations, refunds are awarded only as credit for a future class or shows and are subject to the discretion of The Coalition Theater management. Requests for refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and any decisions regarding refunds will be made at the discretion of the theater.
