Patterns help us collaborate. Spontaneous group acceptance/collaboration impresses an audience more than individual cleverness. Pattern work rewards an audience for paying attention and enforces the idea that the show was made especially for them.
In our third level, we explore creating patterns and discovering games to propel your scenes forward. You'll get out of your head and into the show by focusing on your team and what they need.
Dates: The class runs Tuesdays from 3/24/2026 to 5/12/2026, starting 3/24/2026 and running for 8 weeks.
A showcase will be scheduled as an additional opportunity on an evening during the week of May 17.
Instructor: Josh Wright
Josh Wright has been involved with Coalition Theater ever since he started taking classes in 2016. He currently performs with the house team Wolf Night, coached the sketch team Anarchy Barn, and co-directs the annual Pride sketch comedy show, Outburst. You can also catch him in various shows such as Can’t Hardly Date, the Improvised RomCom and with his duo, Sweet, Sweet Angel Babies.
Prerequisites: Improv 101 and 201, or equivalent classes at a comparable institution. Email [email protected] with questions.
Cost: $250 (Early Bird: $220)
The Coalition Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Once classes begin, all sales are final. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending or completing your registered class. While we do our best to accommodate such situations, refunds are awarded only as credit for a future class or shows and are subject to the discretion of The Coalition Theater management. Requests for refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and any decisions regarding refunds will be made at the discretion of the theater.
