Designing in the XXIst century means anticipating the scarcity of resources,
regenerating natural ecosystems, reconnecting with basic human needs of
your customers, taking into consideration all steps of the value chain.
To face these challenges, managers, business developers, innovation
directors, designers, consultants must (re)think their design choices about
materials, product and business priorities, suppliers and above all business
models.
Circular Design offers a new lens: the systemic approach. The best way to
adopt systems thinking and activate the Circular Economy is to play with the
concept.
Circulab offers you a collaborative workshop to understand the Circular
Economy through the design angle. In the 3 hours, you will play as a team to
rethink a company’s current activity and make it evolve towards:
- sobriety of resources
- optimisation of use
- designing out waste
- regeneration of ecosystems
About the Facilitator
Mr. Harry Li is the founder of Circular Economy Hong Kong. He was
graduated at UC Berkeley with a bachelor degree of Industrial Engineering
and Opoerations Research and obtained a masters degree in the University
of Hong Kong in the same descipline. During his career as an Industrial and
Systems Engineer he has done projects with large and multi-national
organizations such as Mass Transit Railway, Johnson Electric, Flextronics and
Hospital Authority on systems improvement. Other than his business
achievement Harry also taught courses in the University of Hong Kong, the
Hong Kong Polytechnics University and City University of Hong Kong and
helped those universities with the projects of their syudents and professors.
Harry started his career of circular economy in 2019 and is a certified
consultant of Circulab , an international community specialized in providing
training and consulting services for designing and implementing circular
business models to organizations and communities. Other than his business
commitment in Circular Economy Harry is also the founder of Asia Circular
Economy Association and the Hong Kong leader of Circular Economy Club to
offer more contributions to industries and communities in Hong Kong and
other regions in Asia.
