Acrylic Impasto Course for Beginners

Dive into the expressive world of impasto painting in this 6 session beginner course. Drawing inspiration from the impressionists, where thick and textured strokes are used to capture light and atmosphere, partucpanats will learn to create bold and high relief artworks with acrylics paint.

Lesson 1 - Foundation of colour theory

Understand values, tones and colour mixing.

Lesson 2 - Impasto Tools and techniques

Practice palette knife strokes, layering and textural effects

Lesson 3 & 4 - Landscape project

Apply learned skills to paint a textured, colour harmonised landscape

Lesson 5 & 6 - High relief floral project

Create a richly layered flower composition with dramatic relief effect.

No prior painting experience is required—perfect for beginners who want to unleash their creativity! By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and confidence to create your own expressive, textured, and visually compelling acrylic masterpieces.
