Camp IMPACT is not a traditional summer camp. It is a clinically informed, skills-based program created for youth who experience challenges such as:
Emotional regulation and behavior management
Communication and social skill deficits
Anxiety, depression, ADHD, ODD, and related diagnoses
Difficulty with peer relationships and decision-making
Skill delays related to COVID-19, isolation, or trauma
Through structured therapeutic groups, creative arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and guided peer interaction, campers practice essential life skills in real time.
Our Impact Over the Past Five Years
Since its inception, Camp IMPACT has served over 1,000 children and adolescents across multiple communities.
Over the past five years, our program has consistently demonstrated that:
Campers show measurable growth in communication, emotional regulation, and peer interaction
Youth benefit from learning skills in a practice-based environment, not just discussion-based sessions
Campers gain confidence by repeatedly applying skills in group settings that mirror school and community environments
This practice-focused approach allows campers to move beyond learning about skills and instead experience using them, preparing them to carry those skills back into their classrooms, homes, and communities.
Practicing Skills for Real-Life Success
One of the greatest strengths of Camp IMPACT is that skills are taught, modeled, and practiced throughout the entire camp day.
Campers are supported in practicing:
Conflict resolution with peers
Emotional regulation during challenging moments
Social communication in group activities
Decision-making and problem-solving
Coping skills during transitions and unexpected changes
By practicing these skills in a structured, supportive camp environment, campers are better prepared to model and generalize these skills when they return to school and engage in their broader community.
