About this Event
“Do not take advantage of foreigners who live among you in your land. Treat them like native-born Israelites, and love them as you love yourself. Remember that you were once foreigners living in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
Levitcus 19.33-34
What are some common myths about immigration policies that might obscure the truth?
What are some practical actions we can do to support our immigrant neighbors effectively?
On May 16 at 2:15 PM, join us at the church for an interactive workshop with Lutheran Community Services Northwest (LCSNW), presented by Justin Estrep, Director of Refugee & Immigrant Services.
We’ll discuss the U.S. immigration process, the differences between refugees and asylees, and debunk common policy myths.
This partnership aims to provide our youth and families with hands-on service opportunities, such as assembling move-in kits and furniture donation drives.
Following the workshop presentation is a Q and A session where Justin will answer any question to the best of his ability.
Please register before coming to the event to give the Youth Team adequate time to make preparations for light refreshments.
