Zonta Club of Birmingham - June 4th Meeting
Join the Zonta Club of Birmingham for an engaging and timely discussion on Immigrant Justice in Alabama featuring Allison Hamilton. As advocates for women and girls, Zonta recognizes that immigrant women and families often face unique barriers to safety, opportunity, healthcare, and justice. Allison will share insights from her extensive work in immigrant rights, voting rights, racial justice, environmental justice, and economic justice advocacy across Alabama.
Attendees will learn how community advocacy can empower vulnerable populations, strengthen human rights protections, and create meaningful change for women and girls throughout our state. This program is ideal for advocates, community leaders, nonprofit supporters, and anyone passionate about justice, equity, and building a more inclusive Alabama.

Speaker Bio
Allison Hamilton has worked for the Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice (ACIJ) since 2018, and she was hired as Executive Director in spring 2024. Allison has held a variety of roles working in immigrant justice, voting rights, racial justice, environmental justice, and economic justice. She also lived and worked in New York for eight years as a finance and operations consultant for many small businesses, including nonprofits. She holds a Master's degree in Public Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Religious Studies. She is passionate about human rights and empowering community members to advocate for themselves and others.
