About this Event
Join us in a session to help balance and restore your Nervous System through
sound storytelling.
With a diverse musical background, Catarina and Alex will be playing different instruments from various cultures, blending styles and techniques to take you on a journey far away, bringing you back to your heart. Allow vibrations to travel through you, moving and removing any stagnation in the body. This event will include placing instruments on the body as well as soothing vocal improvisation. Sacred instruments such as Gongs and Himalayan bowls will affect and change you on a cellular level and shamanic instruments such as drums, Native American flutes and rattles will take you on a journey to connect you deeper with your body and heart.
What is a Sound bath?
Just like the name indicates, it is a bath with vibrations and frequencies instead of
water. It is a cleansing experience, removing any blockages, stagnation and toxins in
your body and mind. It is a safe space to connect back to your own breath, body and higher consciousness. It is an opportunity not just to hear sounds, but to allow every single cell and molecule in your your body, to listen and feel the sound in their authentic
essence. It provides a place to stop doing and simply being. The vibrations will signal the
limbic system to return to a calm state, activating our parasympathetic nervous
system response, aka “Rest and Digest”.
Who is this session for?
This session is aimed for anyone who is curious and/or passionate about sound and
is interested in taking some time to self-nourish. You don’t need any musical
background to enjoy the power of sound. Anyone can benefit from Sound Healing, whether it is to feel more rested and calm, to improve sleep or simply to give yourself a treat!
What to bring:
Bring yourself with an open mind and open heart; wear comfortable clothes with
nothing tight around the stomach/waist.
About your guides
Catarina is a classical singer, yoga teacher and sound artist with a strong passion for
embodied sound. Catarina’s journey with her voice whilst studying opera led her to yoga, and she has specialised in using sound and voice to encourage people to feel, embrace and process all emotions that arise with no judgement; to be present and accept themselves as they are. Adding to her work in yoga studios and schools, Catarina also runs community choirs and singing groups for people living with dementia. Catarina creates and extremely empowering space, aiming to build practitioners’ confidence in themselves by listening to their physical, mental and emotional bodies. She strongly believes that music and sound are universal languages, and they have the power to bring us back to ourselves, but also to connect with each other, empowering communities and society.
Born and raised in Hackney, Alex Dmochowski has been around music from all over
the world since a young age. After first picking up the clarinet at 6 years old and

He is currently playing music from varied and rich cultures in bands with musicians
from Ghana, India, and South America, and is also running his own band "In The Name of Ra"
Each of these projects continue to inspire and humble him on a daily basis, heavily
influencing his own work.
