About this Event
As part of Miami Climate Week, W.J. Bryan Elementary Museums Magnet School will open to the public for an immersive Food Forest Open House. This event invites community members, climate advocates, and educators to witness firsthand how a South Florida school is leading the charge in urban sustainability and climate resilience.
The W.J. Bryan Food Forest is a thriving, multi-layered ecosystem designed to mimic a natural woodland. Unlike a traditional community garden, this "living laboratory" maximizes vertical space to produce a high density of food while sequestering carbon and significantly reducing the "urban heat island" effect on campus.
