🌿 Imbolc at Orchard Barn 🌿Join us at Orchard Barn to mark Imbolc, the early-spring festival of returning light and the first quiet stirrings of growth after winter.
We’ll begin outdoors in the orchard — where snowdrops beneath our Ashmead’s Kernel apple tree are usually in bloom — taking time to notice what’s changing in the land. We’ll then gather in the new Education Room to share reflections through poetry, stories, songs and music. You’re welcome to bring something to share, or simply come and enjoy what we create together.
The afternoon will be informal and welcoming, with space to gently explore intentions for the year ahead, and will finish in the Long House with hot drinks and light refreshments.
What is Imbolc?
Imbolc is an ancient seasonal festival, celebrated as the midpoint between winter solstice and spring equinox. It marks the subtle shift from winter towards spring — when the days begin to noticeably lengthen and the land shows the first signs of renewal. Traditionally, it’s a time for reflection, intention-setting, and honouring the returning light.
