The charismatic, Grammy Award-winning Imani Winds — known for their role in revolutionizing the woodwind quintet — will captivate listeners with a work by Valerie Coleman and with a compelling transcription of Stravinsky’s groundbreaking Rite of Spring, a piece that shocked audiences at its premiere. Imani flutist Brandon Patrick George is featured in a work by Stravinsky’s contemporary Francis Poulenc, and the remaining Imani members join pianist Efi Hackmey in Mozart’s sublime Quintet for Piano and Winds.
