About this Event
Note: This in-person session is at Sports Basement Long Beach
This initiative is designed to fund multicultural arts activation zones that celebrate our city’s iconic identity, history, and culture.
Whether you are an individual artist, a neighborhood group, or a local arts organization, we want to help you lead the way in 2028. Join us for this comprehensive Virtual Technical Assistance Workshop to learn everything you need to know to submit a winning application.
What We Will Cover
This session will provide a clear overview of all three IMAGINE28 grant categories:
- Public Art Projects ($10,000): For active Long Beach artists (individuals or cohorts) creating visual, performing, or multidisciplinary works.
- Neighborhood Grants ($12,500): For local groups and nonprofits planning hyperlocal activations like festivals, murals, or workshops.
- Operating Grants ($20,000): For Measure B recipients and arts organizations with annual revenues of $250,000 or more.
We will also discuss:
- Eligibility Myth-Busting: Learn how non-incorporated groups can apply using a fiscal sponsor.
- Submission Success: How to format your files correctly and prepare your required single PDF artistic documentation.
- The Timeline: Important milestones leading up to the June 12 deadline.
- Live Q&A: Get direct answers from the ArtsLB grants team.
