About the Artist
Irvin Wheeler’s (@iwheeler1150) work honors a lineage of artists who celebrate the beauty and significance of Black life through what is often called the Black Aesthetic. For nearly seven decades, Wheeler has sought to spiritually reclaim Africa’s cultural heritage and reimagine futures for the African Diaspora.
“IMAGENERATIONS” expands on this vision, centering on the universal Black family and exploring the connections between ancestors, descendants, and generations yet to come.
