We’re excited to announce that Wyomissing is hosting the IM ABLE Foundation’s Wheelchair Rugby – Crash & Dash Demo Days at Happy Hollow Playground!Come experience the thrill of Wheelchair Rugby in a fun, supportive, and beginner-friendly environment. These try-it-out sessions are designed for individuals with physical disabilities such as amputation/limb loss, spinal cord injury, wheelchair-users, cerebral palsy, brain injury, and stroke.
You’ll learn the basics of rugby—rules, techniques, and teamwork—while getting an awesome cardio workout, building strength, and having a blast with the fast-paced action of the game!
IM ABLE will provide rugby chairs and equipment, so all you need to do is bring your energy and curiosity. And don’t worry—the “Crash & Dash” name is all in good fun! There will be some light chair contact, but not the hard hits you’d see in competitive matches.
WHAT TO BRING:
Gloves - IM ABLE has some, but gardening gloves with grip are perfect
Arm/Elbow protection - optional, but recommended
A filled water bottle
