DESCRIPTION
How might teachers leverage the coherence of IM 6–12 Math in order to enhance access to grade-level mathematics for students? The purpose of this session is to uncover and explore the development of geometry topics in the curriculum.
LEARNING GOALS
- Identify opportunities for students to share, explain, justify, and prove their reasoning.
- Describe how attention to precision supports reasoning about geometry.
- Examine one progression of constructing an argument in the curriculum.
- Recognize connections and dependencies across units and courses within IM.
