About this Event
WHO
Vertical teams of teachers engaged in ongoing deep study of IM 6–12 Math who want to deepen their understanding of coherence in the curriculum
WHEN
After the first year of implementation
DESCRIPTION
How might teachers leverage the coherence of IM 6–12 Math in order to enhance access to grade-level mathematics for students? The purpose of this session is to uncover and explore the development of topics, mathematical diagrams, and representations for expressions and equations in the curriculum. Teachers apply this learning with their grade-level colleagues in planning at the unit and lesson level.
LEARNING GOALS
- Differentiate the purposes of various representations.
- Explain how representations are used to help students understand concepts and mathematical structure.
- Describe the purpose of one progression of representations in the curriculum.
- Recognize connections and dependencies across units and courses within IM Math.
Note: An IM v.360 version of this product is not available.
- **Due to the interactive nature of this virtual session and copyrights on the materials recordings are not available.**
