Every year, East Bengal in Bangalore (EBiB) organises its annual tournament to promote football, nurture the passion for the game, and honour the red-and-gold legacy. This year, EBiB is organising the tournament on 8th March 2026, dedicating it as a heartfelt tribute to Iliyas Pasha — a legend, a guardian, and the backbone of EBiB.
From its very inception, Iliyas Pasha stood firmly behind this initiative — supporting it, guiding it, and strengthening it with his presence. After his demise, EBiB has lost a guardian, but his values continue to guide us.
Pasha and his teammate Saravanan — also a former East Bengal player — were present at our annual tournament in 2019, organised by EBiB to celebrate 100 glorious years of East Bengal Club, a memory forever etched in red and gold.
More than competition or trophies, this tournament is our way of keeping memories alive. The presence of Pasha’s family and his former teammate Saravanan on 8th March 2026 will make this tribute even more meaningful, turning remembrance into a deeply emotional celebration of a legend’s life and legacy.
