Mariposa Center for Safety (formerly the YWCA of Pueblo) is commemorating Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a special event, “Illuminate the Path to Safety”, Thursday, October 2, 6:30-7:30pm at 801 N. Santa Fe Ave. This event is open and free to the public. Illuminate the Path to Safety will feature a joint proclamation presented by Pueblo City Council & Pueblo County Commissioners recognizing October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In addition, we will have informational materials about domestic violence, flags representing survivors of DV, purple ribbons, purple light bulbs & light refreshments.
