Featuring Nadia Dotsiak & Trio Kagura
About this Event
Nadia Dotsiak is a Ukrainian pianist, currently studying for her Master's degree at the Royal Northern College of Music under the guidance of Murray McLachlan. She received her earlier musical education in Ukraine, graduating with honour from the Kyiv National Academy of Ukraine, achieving the highest marks in her piano performance exams.
Throughout her academic years, Nadia has performed in concerts across Ukraine, both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. In 2020, she achieved success by winning the Third Prize at the Gloria Artist International Piano Competition.
Nadia's passion for chamber music extends beyond solo performances and she enjoys collaborating in duos, trios, and a piano quintet. She performs at various venues across Greater Manchester, where she strives to explore diverse repertoire as both a soloist and a chamber instrumentalist.
Trio Kagura is currently pursuing professional studies at the RNCM and is making its mark as an established piano trio. The name Kagura is taken from the Japanese word for ritual music and dance that is performed to bring joy and peace to the community.
Japanese-born pianist Kanako Mizuno obtained her BMus from the Toho Gakuen School of Music before moving to the UK to study at the Royal Academy of Music and the RNCM.
Cellist Yuuki Bouterey-Ishido from New Zealand studied at the Menuhin Academy and the Royal Academy before coming to the RNCM.
Lithuanian violinist Pijus Jonušas completes the trio. He studied at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague before coming to the RNCM studying with Pavel Fischer.
The students appear by kind permission of the RNCM.
