During this workshop, we’ll start by exploring some common film formats (35mm, 120, and large format) using physical negatives, digital scans, and sample cameras to illustrate how each format can benefit your creative ideas.

About Ryan HK:
Ryan HK is an advertising photographer and award-winning commercial director with over 20 years in the industry.
For more than 3 decades, film has been an integral part of his creative photographic process. Ryan enjoys the overall process, from choosing the right film stock, to shooting/lighting, developing, scanning or darkroom printing. This ensures that the end product is a direct reflection of his vision and concept.
In a world of AI and digital consumption, the film photography process is more special than ever. Producing physical negatives and creating one-of-a-kind silver gelatin prints in the darkroom help Ryan create photographic work that will stand the test of time.
