To close the season in dramatic fashion, the FMSO joins forces with the Fargo-Moorhead Opera.
From the genius behind La Bohème, Tosca, and Madama Butterfly comes Puccini’s gripping one-act masterpiece of passion and betrayal. Set aboard a barge on the dark waters of the Seine, Il Tabarro (The Cloak) simmers with jealousy, longing, and fatal secrets. With its brooding atmosphere and sweeping score, this rarely performed gem offers a raw, emotional punch.
Along with Il Tabarro, the co‑production will feature additional works from Puccini, offering audiences a broader glimpse into the lush musical world of one of opera’s greatest composers.
